Mallory Martini, CNM, ARNP

I’m a Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and I feel incredibly grateful to be providing care in the community where I grew up.

I was raised on Bainbridge Island, and it means so much to now be caring for women here—often during pivotal, vulnerable, and transformative moments in their lives.

Over the past 14 years, I’ve worked in obstetrics and gynecology, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the full spectrum of gynecologic care. I’ve had the privilege of delivering over 500 babies, providing comprehensive contraceptive care, and caring for women across all stages of their reproductive lives.

My path has taken me beyond the Pacific Northwest to more rural and underserved settings, including working as a midwife in Guatemala and providing care for the Navajo and Zuni tribes through Indian Health Services in New Mexico. These experiences deeply shaped how I practice—grounding my work in both strong clinical expertise and a deep respect for each woman’s individual story.

I began my career with a degree in social work from the University of Washington, and later earned my graduate degree in nursing and nurse practitioner training from Seattle University in 2012. That foundation continues to influence how I approach care today—with attention not only to physical health, but to the emotional and social context of each patient’s life.

More recently, my work has focused on women’s health concerns that are often overlooked or minimized—particularly hormone-related symptoms that can significantly impact quality of life. Too often, women are told that what they’re experiencing is “normal,” even when it feels disruptive, exhausting, or unlike themselves.

Conditions that primarily affect women have historically been understudied, and many healthcare settings don’t allow the time or space to fully address them. After witnessing this throughout my career, I knew I wanted to create something different.

Island Women’s Health was built to offer care that is more personal, more thoughtful, and more responsive to the complex ways women experience their bodies over time.

My approach integrates the best of Western medicine with the essential roles of nutrition, movement, mental health, and complementary therapies. I will meet you wherever you are and work collaboratively with you—never pushing treatments that don’t align with your values or preferences.

I live on Bainbridge Island with my two young sons and feel lucky to be raising them in the same community that shaped me. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, paddle boarding, and singing along to my ukulele. I’ve spent years living in Latin America and love speaking Spanish and dancing to Latin music.

My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood—and to work together to help you feel vibrant and well for years to come.
